Green Matters Technologies, Inc
FOCUS: Net Zero Energy & Carbon, Sustainable Infrastructure
OVERVIEW: Delivers hot water from heat recovered from HVAC equipment
Our systems are aligned to the zero carbon goal. Our system has been proven in real world application to eliminate 100% of scope one emissions from a hotel in Puerto Rico (shutting down fossil fuel DHW boiler). We must consider the carbon intensity of the attached grid for our applications to determine our % reduction in GHG emissions. We are forecasting for our hockey arena installation in British Columbia to eliminate 92% of GHG emissions, as a result of the clean grid in that region.
Commercial buildings burn fossil fuels to produce hot water while simultaneously rejecting heat from their own cooling systems into the atmosphere. This preventable double-waste costs the built environment billions in fuel and carbon emissions — yet most decarbonization solutions require costly overhauls operators can't justify. Green Matters Technologies has invented, patented, and deployed a heat recovery system that captures this wasted thermal energy as domestic hot water at 610% efficiency — six times more efficient than a gas boiler, eliminating Scope 1 emissions entirely.
At the San Juan Marriott, our system displaced all gas-fired water heaters, cutting CO₂ by 340 tons annually and saving over $500k in four years. At the Real InterContinental Santo Domingo, LPG costs dropped 74% within three months. We retrofit into existing facilities in 1–2 weeks with zero upfront cost — customers pay only from the savings we generate.

Green Matters Technologies, Inc is Promising for California
2030 Gas Boiler Deadline Creates Urgency. California hotels face a mandatory gas water heater phase-out by 2030 under CARB regulations, and Green Matters' zero-capex, 1–2 week retrofit directly replaces gas DHW systems with zero Scope 1 emissions, making it a ready-made compliance solution.
610% Efficiency Beats Every Alternative. At 6.1 COPH, Green Matters' system is seven times more efficient than a gas boiler and nearly twice as efficient as a conventional heat pump, giving California hotels a superior compliance path over the standard heat pump water heater being promoted as the default replacement.
California's Climate Maximizes System Output. Southern California and Central Valley hotels run cooling systems year-round, meaning waste heat is continuously available for capture. Unlike cold-climate markets where the system's fuel source is seasonal, California delivers maximum utilization and ROI every day of the year.
Existing Brand Relationships Unlock the Market. Green Matters already works with Marriott, Hilton, and Hyatt. These three brands have the largest California hotel footprints, giving them a direct channel to hundreds of properties without starting the sales process from scratch.
Rising Gas Costs and Eliminated Subsidies Strengthen the ROI Case. The CPUC has already eliminated natural gas subsidies for new hookups and California gas rates continue climbing, making the savings-based pricing model increasingly attractive compared to staying on gas.
Policy Pressure Is Compounding. Between Title 24's 2026 energy code updates, SB 1221's 151 designated neighborhood gas phase-out zones, and CARB's pending zero-emission appliance rule, California hotel operators face layered and accelerating regulatory deadlines — creating a pipeline of motivated buyers for Green Matters' retrofit solution.
