OVERVIEW: ePAVE is a patented, reflective pavement coating material specifically designed and engineered to preserve asphalt and concrete. A cost-effective and durable pavement solution, ePAVE is formulated to absorb UV and reflect IR. The resulting reduction in pavement surface heat and decrease in the Urban Heat Island (UHI) effect mitigates increased demand for energy consumption when temperatures rise while reducing air pollution and greenhouse gas emissions. ePAVE also seals in toxins and greenhouse gases emitted from asphalt roads, while increasing road safety with a higher friction coefficient, yielding better braking and fuel efficiency. Cooling strategies to reduce heat islands can help communities adapt to the impacts of climate change as well as lower the greenhouse gas emissions.
