Guiding, Piloting, and Promoting Solutions for a Net Positive Future
We’re speeding adoption of vital solutions in the built environment.
We’re not your typical accelerator. With a focus on piloting projects in real world, trackable implementations, we aim to rapidly drive measurable adoption of net zero solutions, today. We pair our Cohort companies with experts to encourage scalable solutions, promote awareness of their solutions to the right audience, and focus a strong emphasis on placing technology pilots with building partners that support a net positive future.
WE BRIDGE THE GAP between net zero building policy and current technology in use for both commercial and affordable housing sectors.
WE BUILD AWARENESS of viable solutions and market innovations through marketing, media, events and curated networking.
WE GET TECH TO MARKET through onsite pilots with committed green building leaders.
We achieve this by pairing our cohort members with expert advisors, promoting their solutions to high value prospects, and placing pilot projects to help these growing companies better prepare for scaled adoption. All to make net zero carbon, energy, water, and waste a reality for LA, and beyond. Join us and become a net positive part of our net zero future.
NZA DEMO DAY JANUARY 29!
What does the future of the built environment actually look like, and who’s building it right now?
The NZA team and community works with growth-stage companies that are moving beyond concepts and pilots into real-world deployment. These are teams navigating the messy middle, de-risking new technologies, aligning with market needs, and proving impact at actual buildings and sites. Demo Day is your chance to see those stories unfold.
The 2025 companies are tackling some of the most urgent challenges facing the built environment today, including:
Smarter building performance and energy efficiency
Electrification enablers and next-generation energy storage
Climate resilience for wildfire, heat, and infrastructure risk
Water sensing, treatment, and reuse
Circular, low-carbon materials for construction and retrofits
Software, digital twins, and AI accelerating decarbonization
Scalable solutions for affordable housing and community infrastructure
These aren’t future hypotheticals. You’ll see technologies already deployed in the field, delivering measurable results for owners, operators, and the communities they serve.
Join us on January 29 to hear how far these ideas can travel. This event highlights not only our newest cohort but also a milestone update from NZA 2019 alumnus Forest Frizell (Shifted Energy, recently acquired) as well as keynotes from Kevin Powell (recently program director for the US government’s Green Proving Ground) and Ajey Kaushal (Principal, JLL Spark).
Net Zero Accelerator cohort members shined brightly at Greenbuild 2025!
THANK YOU all who joined us for Fast Pitches at Greenbuild, where our latest innovators showcased what boots on ground really looks like: practical, proven solutions that make buildings smarter, healthier, and more valuable.

“Operators of building types of all kinds across the state have raised their hands to provide pilot sites and their expertise to help us get to net zero with increased focus on resilience, clean construction, and occupant health. Our goal is to work with our advisors to fine tune the technical and business models of these technologies helping to deliver solutions today in a way that they can scale at an accelerated rate going forward.”

“I’ve guided the success of hundreds of entrepreneurs, and I can say that the caliber and commitment of the people and companies this program engages is truly top shelf. Plus, the focus on real world pilots getting vital solutions right to market makes our work all the more fulfilling. I’m excited to guide and learn from these change makers.”
